Donato D’Angola
Donato joined Azzurri in 2006 and has spent close to two decades building the business into what it is today. He leads business development and estimating, and brings a direct, commercial discipline to every opportunity Azzurri pursues.
With over 27 years in concrete placement, Donato understands the full picture of a project: the risk, the margin, the client relationship and the delivery standard required to protect all three. His focus is on finding the right work, pricing it accurately and creating the conditions for the team to deliver without compromise.
Mario D’Angola
Mario started as a concreter and founded Azzurri Concrete in 2004. He built the business because he could see a gap in the market: a concrete subcontractor with the technical depth and the will to do things properly.
He leads the project management teams and is regularly on site. His hands-on approach is not a management style. It is how he stays close to the work, close to the team and close to the standard Azzurri holds itself to. Over 20 years, his ability to analyse, improve and push the limits of how concrete gets placed has kept the business at the front of the field.
Antony Baroni
Antony brings over 30 years of experience in building, operations and construction. He has worked alongside top-tier developers and builders on some of the most technically demanding projects in the country and has delivered end-to-end project management on structural concrete packages that require both precision and composure under pressure.
He is deeply knowledgeable in structures and logistics, site safety, quality and environmental controls, and risk identification. What sets Antony apart is not just the technical depth but the way he leads: with focus, accountability and a standard that does not move regardless of the pressure around it.
Alex Karpouzis
Alex joined Azzurri in 2023 with over 15 years of senior finance leadership across some of Australia’s most demanding organisations. Before Azzurri, he was Finance Director and Acting Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Infrastructure NSW, leading a team of more than 40 across finance, ICT, business systems and operations, and overseeing financial programmes running into the hundreds of millions.
At Azzurri, he builds the financial frameworks, commercial disciplines and reporting structures that allow the business to pursue larger, more demanding work with confidence.
Judd Harley Lyon
Judd joined Azzurri in 2013 and has overseen the company’s industrial projects ever since. He runs delivery on-site, keeping every job aligned with Azzurri’s standards and systems, and making sure his team has what it needs to do the work properly.
His focus is the detail of how a project runs day-to-day: quality, compliance and performance on the ground. He sets a clear standard and holds it, and that consistency carries across every project he touches.
Tony Sassano
Tony joined Azzurri in 2015 with over 30 years of concrete pump experience, working alongside highly experienced operators on top-tier projects. He manages Azzurri’s pumping operations and warehouse, where his focus is on doing things right the first time.
What he values most is the team around him: experienced, professional operators who take real pride in working for Azzurri. That shared standard is what keeps the work consistent.
