The brief

A major industrial and logistics development in Sydney’s western infrastructure corridor, delivering large-scale warehousing, distribution and operational facilities built to support high-volume freight. The floor performance specification and the programme were both at the outer edge of what an industrial slab package demands.

What we did

Azzurri delivered the complete FRP structural package, including piling, detailed excavation, floor slabs, structural elements and hardstand areas for heavy logistics operations. Somero laser screed technology ran across the slab programme with ride-on trowel finishing, and systematic dipstick measurement was used to verify tolerances throughout rather than as a check at the end.

Coordinating concrete supply, pump scheduling and placement sequences at this scale is the part that cannot be improvised. It requires operational depth that only comes from doing it repeatedly at the top tier of industrial construction.

The outcome

At more than 50,000 cubic metres, one of the largest industrial concrete packages in Azzurri’s delivery history and one of the most demanding on floor performance.
