The brief
A landmark mixed-use development at Darling Harbour comprising the luxury W Sydney hotel, the new IMAX theatre, retail and hospitality spaces and major public domain works. Defined by its curved façade and demanding structural form, the project required precise coordination and sustained delivery within a constrained live city environment, above critical underground infrastructure.
What we did
Two tower placing booms and a Putzmeister 2110 trailer pump were deployed to maintain placement capacity across every structural phase. Managing pour sequences within the curved architectural form required close coordination across estimating, project management and site teams over a three-year programme.
The outcome
Delivered above critical infrastructure, in one of Sydney’s busiest public precincts, without disruption to the environment around it.
